Mean Girls Sings Its Way To the Top of Our Ranker | Weekend of January 12th, 2024

The weekend of January 12th was all about music and action as the Mean Girls musical adaptation by Tina Fey topped our ranker, followed by Jason Statham's latest over-the-top action movie.

It's no wonder the two premieres topped our ranker, both receiving generally positive reviews with solid star power. Perhaps surprisingly, the Statham action film scored a whopping 94% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes while Mean Girls scored a 66% audience score. No doubt the long-running intellectual property of Mean Girls led certain fans to think it missed the mark.

The last standing movie with double-digit percent tickets sold was Wonka, impressively holding on despite being in its 5th week.
