Over the weekend of June 7th, Bad Boys: Ride or Die put the pedal to the metal and zoomed to the top of our ranker, earned over $56M, and blew away audiences, scoring a very-hard-to-achieve 97% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. The blockbuster propelled the box office to over $100M!

Bad Boys wasn't the only blockbuster of the weekend as each title of the Lord of the Rings trilogy was re-released one day at a time over the weekend. The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, which only played on Saturday, earned over $2.4M! And The Two Towers, which only played on Sunday, earned over $1.9M. These numbers are quite impressive, considering this trilogy came out over twenty years ago and each only played for one day. This bodes quite well for the upcoming installment of the franchise: The Lord of the Rings: The War of Rohirrim, coming this winter.

Looking ahead:
The sequel to Inside Out is releasing this weekend, how many tickets will it claim?
