Beetlejuice Beetlejuice 3-Peats at Box Office, Beating Transformers One | Weekend of September 20th
Even with the massive franchise premiere of Transformers One over the weekend of September 20th, the spooky classic's sequel remained at the top of our ranker! The ghost with the most earned nearly $26M and claimed 30% of all ticket sales. We're sure Beetlejuice is quite proud of himself.
Transformers One was close behind, however, earning $24.6M and claiming 28% of all ticket sales. The movie has phenomenal reviews, earning an 88% critic score and a rare 98% audience score.
The top two movies claimed the bulk of the ticket sales while the rest of the top ten combined to claim 28% of admissions and earn ~$22.6M, almost as much as each of the top two movies of the weekend earned.
