Challengers Aces the Box Office | Weekend of April 26th, 2024

The weekend of April 26th featured three premieres in the top 10 with Challengers taking the top spot on our ranker.

The sports drama starring Zendaya was a critic-favorite, scoring an impressive 89% on Rotten Tomatoes. Audiences favored the film as well as it earned a 75% audience score. That's no small feat and a clear indicator that the film is high-quality, but differs from weeks past where audience and critic scores on new titles have only differed by a few percentage points. The movie earned just over $15M and claimed 20% of all ticket sales.

Unsung Hero, another premiering title, flipped the script in terms of ratings as it scored a 65% critic score but an incredible 99% audience score! The movie earned $7.7M and accounted for 15% of all ticket sales.

It was a quality weekend for the top 10 titles on our ranker, each one earning at least $1M, which is great to see.
