Civil War Wins the Fight for the Top Once Again | Weekend of April 19th, 2024

The weekend of April 19th featured multiple premieres but Civil War maintained its top spot, earning over $11M and claiming 16% of all ticket sales. Civil War continued to impress crowds and critics alike!

The debuting film, Abigail, was close to the top, earning $10.2M and accounting for 14% of all ticket sales. Once again, the critics and general audience seemed to align as the horror movie received an 83% critic and 87% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. It's great to see two well-received titles releasing so close to each other!

Godzilla x Kong continued its success, earning nearly $10M in its fourth weekend and claiming 13% of all ticket sales.

This weekend's admissions were dispersed more evenly amidst the top titles than usual. The top three movies accounted for 43% of all admissions whereas last week, the top movie alone claimed 33%!
