Deadpool & Wolverine Cling to Top Spot | Weekend of August 2nd, 2024

The weekend of August 2nd was another win for the box office. It was the ninth weekend in a row where the box office earned over $100M.

In its second weekend, Deadpool & Wolverine earned nearly $100M by itself and claimed 54% of all ticket sales. The movie has now done over $400M domestically and is nearing $900M globally!

Twisters ($22.8M) kept spinning at our number two spot while the premiering M. Night Shyamalan film, Trap, took our third spot, earning just over $15M and claiming 9% of all ticket sales.

Despicable Me 4 ($11.4M) and Inside Out 2 ($6.8M) both continued to perform well despite being in their fifth and eighth weekend respectively.
