Fast X Slams Its Foot on the Gas Pedal!

The weekend of May 19th was a weekend for speed as Fast X, the 10th installment in the Fast & Furious franchise, debuted. The blockbuster claimed 54% of all ticket sales for the weekend and $67M at the box office. In second was Guardians of the Galaxy 3, which took home 25% of admissions and $32M in its third weekend.

Even in its seventh weekend, Mario and friends continue to hang out in the top 3 of our admissions ranker. In our bottom two spots were the second chapter of Book Club and Evil Dead Rise.

Perhaps the most interesting part of last weekend is that 4 out of the 5 movies to claim the most ticket sales were sequels.
