Smile 2 Grins at the Top of Our Ranker | Weekend of October 18th, 2024

Smile 2 kicked off its theatrical run with a solid opening weekend, securing the top spot at the box office with $23M in earnings and capturing 28% of all ticket sales. The movie was well-liked by critics and audiences, receiving an 85% critic and 82% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The Wild Robot continued its impressive run, charming audiences and securing a strong second-place finish with $10.1M in earnings. Terrifier 3 also maintained its appeal, holding onto the third spot with $9.3M and claiming 14% of all ticket sales.

While the overall weekend box office was lower than past big weeks, the fact that all the films in the top 10 grossed over $1M showcases that people are still going to a wide variety of movies.
