The Odds Are in Favor of the Hunger Games as it Beats Out Two Premiering Titles!

Thanksgiving weekend was one for big franchises as The Hunger Games Prequel and Trolls Band Together stayed on top of our ranker in their second week despite two debuting films and one film named after the holiday itself. That goes to show the power of preexisting intellectual property!

Wish, Napoleon, and Thanksgiving (all exceptionally different types of titles) filled out our bottom three slots over Thanksgiving. Perhaps surprisingly, a horror movie named after the holiday itself did not best the other titles. Is horror not the genre of choice over the family-oriented holiday?
