The Wild Robot Knocks Beetlejuice Off His Pedestal | Weekend of September 27th, 2024

The Wild Robot emerged as the box office champion for the weekend of September 27th, securing the top spot with $35.8M in earnings and capturing 41% of all ticket sales. The robot dethroned Beetlejuice Beetlejuice which had been dominating the box office in previous weeks. The animated movie received impeccable reviews, scoring a 97% critic score and 98% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Scores that high are reserved for some of the very best movies ever made. It's a must see, clearly.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice slipped to the second position, earning $16.2M and accounting for 16% of ticket sales. Meanwhile, Transformers One kept people coming back, securing the third spot with $9.2M in earnings and 9% of ticket sales.

The top three films collectively accounted for 66% of all ticket sales during the weekend. The remaining seven films in the top ten combined earned ~$23M and claimed 20% of all ticket sales.
