The weekend of June 9th was one filled with robots and spider-people as Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and Transformers ruled our admissions ranker!

Spider-Man’s ability to stay webbed at the top of our ranker during its second weekend despite another massive intellectual property premiering is a testament to the power of high quality storytelling and a novel animation style.

But we can’t forget about The Little Mermaid which continued to draw crowds despite being in its third weekend. Combined, these three huge properties accounted for 84% of all ticket sales and a whopping $139M at the box office!
